In my research project, I aim to learn the role of EVs from neuroblastoma cells on non-
cancerous neuronal and blood-brain-barrier (BBB) cells. Due to the importance of the TERT
gene in the immortalization of cancer cells, my research is also looking into the effect of TERT in
mediation of EVs in that system. To accomplish this, the usage of TERT-increasing
compounds AGS499 allow us to see changes in EVs phenotypes, secretion levels, and their
effects on the BBB TEER levels.
